Is Refugee Thrive Initiative a registered organization?+
We are currently completing our formal registration process. That does not stop our programs from running now, and it does not stop you from supporting us today. We will update this page as soon as registration is complete.
How can I donate?+
Reach out to us directly through the Contact page and we will share the best way for you to give. See our Get Involved page for a rough idea of what different gift sizes cover.
Do you accept in-kind donations, like laptops or training materials?+
Yes. If you have laptops, training materials, or venue space to offer, get in touch and we will find a good use for it.
Can I volunteer if I am not based in Nairobi?+
Some of our work, like mentorship or curriculum support, can happen remotely. Most hands-on training happens in person in Nairobi.
Who benefits from your programs?+
Refugees living in Nairobi, both women and men, across our Digital Skills, Empowerment, and Mental Health and Wellness programs.
How is RTI different from other organizations working with refugees?+
We are refugee-led. Our team has lived through displacement and resettlement ourselves, so our programs come from firsthand experience, not from the outside looking in.
Can I sponsor a specific program instead of giving generally?+
Yes. Let us know which program speaks to you, Digital Skills, Empowerment, or Mental Health and Wellness, and we will show you how your support fits in there.
Do you offer receipts for donations?+
We can provide a receipt of appreciation for your gift. Formal tax documentation will be available once our registration is complete.
